Biography
Jonathan Flanagan started playing the drums at the age of 10 and played with various local bands throughout junior and senior high school. By studying music theory in school and working with private instructors, Jon developed the fundamental skills of a solid drummer.
In 2002 Jon recorded his first album with his band Iron Giant that led to numerous Canadian tours. Through touring Jon gained the experience and knowledge that has enabled him to become a professional drummer.
Jon has also played in a number of tribute bands leading him to explore different drum styles such as rock, metal, punk, pop, funk and jazz.
Specializing in double bass drumming, his motto is: "anything you can play with good hands, you can play with good feet." Jon's kick pattern exercises are excellent for all levels of experience.
Jon is a talented and motivating teacher who will inspire passion in all ages from beginners to advanced players.
